Farooq is a UK-trained Consultant Hepatologist, Gastroenterologist, and Interventional Endoscopist now practicing at King’s Bahrain Hospital. With a distinguished career in hepatology and gastroenterology, he is recognized for his ability to combine technical expertise with compassionate, patient-centered care. Farooq’s training in the Trent GI program, alongside Liver Transplant training at St. James Hospital in Leeds, gives him a strong foundation in both complex liver disease management and advanced gastrointestinal care.

Farooq is highly respected for his forward-thinking approach to liver and digestive health. He has created specialized programs for patients with fatty liver disease and diabetes, focusing on identifying issues early and treating them before they escalate. This proactive care not only supports liver health but also helps prevent complications related to metabolic conditions. Qualifications & Experience:

• FRCP, MRCP (Gastroenterology), MRCGP, FAcadMEd, CCT-UK Hepatology, CCT-UK Gastroenterology
• Extensive experience in hepatology, gastroenterology, liver transplantation, and interventional endoscopy
• Specialist in early detection of gastrointestinal, biliary, and pancreatic conditions using advanced endoscopic techniques
