Dr Shabeeha K Rana

Dr. Shabeeha is a globally respected Consultant Hematologist and recognized as one of the best Hematologists in Bahrain. She serves as the Director of Cancer Services at King’s Bahrain Hospital, bringing more than 20 years of experience in both malignant and laboratory hematology. She is particularly celebrated for her pioneering work in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, having established the first such program in Dubai.

Her approach to patient care is deep-rooted in compassion and centered on the individual. Dr. Shabeeha ensures that patients with complex blood disorders feel supported, well-informed, and empowered throughout their treatment journey. Combining advanced diagnostic and therapeutic techniques with a keen understanding of each patient’s unique medical and emotional needs, she delivers care that is both precise and empathetic.

Dr. Shabeeha’s achievements have been recognized internationally. Notably, she became the first representative from the Gulf region to participate in the European Hematology Association annual meeting in 2023 under the “Women in Lymphoma” initiative, highlighting her leadership and influence in the field of hematology.

• Former Consultant Haematologist at King’s College Hospital London, Royal Marsden Hospital, University Hospitals Nottingham, and University Hospital Birmingham, UK
• Pioneer and Director of the first Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (HSCT) program in Dubai
• Specialist in malignant and laboratory hematology, with a focus on leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and amyloidosis
